Deputies yesterday took time to attend the funeral services for Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Moaddabpour, a deputy representing the people of Rasht -- the provincial capital of the Caspian shore Province of Gilan.

The 55-year-old Moaddabpour -- a father of five and a leading religious figure in the city of Rasht -- succumbed to cancer at a Tehran hospital on Tuesday.

Later in the day, his body was transferred to Rasht for burial.
