TEHRAN - Saudi Arabian Interior Minister Amir Nayef announced that Riyadh is going to establish a new satellite channel called True Mohammadan Islam which will be broadcasting in various languages.

A Saudi Arabian newspaper on Thursday quoted Nayef as saying that accomplished Islamic scholars and scientists would be working for the Islamic channel.

He noted that university students and education officials would be the target audience of this program.

Meanwhile, Nayef pointed out that attacks by the United States and the West against Saudi Arabia are aimed at undermining Islam and its teachings. In response to the Pentagon's request that Saudi Arabia change the educational material and books used in its schools, Nayef said, "In our educational material, Islamic tenets have been cited, and we have no intention of changing them."
