Culture Minister to Depart for Baku on Saturday

TEHRAN -- Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ahmad Masjed-Jamei, heading a cultural delegation, will leave Tehran for Baku on Saturday to attend ceremonies marking the start of Iran's Cultural Week in Azerbaijan Republic.

The four-day visit will take place at the invitation of Azeri Minister of Culture Polad Bulbuloglu.

The Iranian minister is escheduled to meet with Azeri President Heydar Aliyev as well Minister of Foreign Affairs Vilayat Quliyev, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov and Minister of Sports, Tourism and Youth Abulfaz Harayev.

The two sides are to sign a cultural, scientific and education agreement, IRNA reported.

The ceremonies include an exhibition of Iranian handicrafts, books, software, miniatures and paintings.
