The Governor General's office is doing everything in its power to increase safety in order to maximize use of the existing capacities for tourism, said Tehran Province Governor General Ali-Akbar Rahmani.

Speaking at the First Tehran International Food Festival, Rahmani cited safety as an important factor in the development of the tourism industry and pointed out that holding festivals boosts tourism in the province.

He noted the many tourist attractions in the country and called for all-out efforts to solve the current problems in the field.

He said that upgrading the quality of food, taking a scientific approach to tourism, paying attention to research and training, and better information dissemination would help pave the way for attracting more tourists to Tehran.
