Manouchehr Mottaki and Hamid Albar during the meeting also explored ways for broadening the dimensions of cooperation between the two countries and making joint investments, particularly in rail and road transportation, tourism, building construction, and medium and small industries.
The two sides agreed to hold the sixth joint commission of Iran and Malaysia in Tehran in the near future.
Establishment of work groups to pursue the progress of bilateral scientific, educational, research and technological activities was among the agreements reached between the two foreign ministers in their meeting.
Mottaki and Albar are the heads of the Iran-Malaysia Joint Economic and Cultural Commission.
The two foreign ministers meanwhile emphasized on the need for closer cooperation within the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), as well as continuous bilateral consultations and cooperation.
