Larijani attends ECFA meeting in Cairo

TEHRAN -- Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani attended a meeting of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) in Cairo on Saturday night.

During the gathering, Larijani elaborated on the Islamic Republic’s positions on its nuclear activities and the latest developments in Iraq and Palestine.

In the meeting, political experts underlined Iran’s right to access peaceful nuclear technology by referring to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) as well as other international disarmament conventions.

The Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs is an influential organization in Egypt and all international circles, whose members are mainly chosen from among the most distinguished retired diplomats of Egypt as well as other high-ranking military officials and academic figures.
