Vietnam’s fisheries businesses target Iran market
The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) reported the fair, which starts at the end of October and ends in November, is an excellent opportunity for Vietnamese fishery enterprises to meet and exchange business with importers, while advertising in a new market with high potential.
Iran’s businesses have been focusing on Vietnamese markets recently, said a representative from VASEP.
To strengthen fisheries exports to Iran’s market, enterprises must promote themselves and develop trade relations by participating in fairs and diversifying product lines, suggest experts of the fisheries industry.
In another development, National Fisheries Quality Assurance and Veterinary Directorate (NAFIQAVED) has just issued a decision recognizing 10 more fishery enterprises in food safety standards, bringing the number of enterprises recognized by the standard to 300, or 64 percent of the total industrial-sized fishery enterprises in Vietnam.
Vietnam’s fishery industry underwent extensive changes and improvements in production and processing to meet these international standards, said Nguyen Tu Cuong, Director of NAFIQAVED.
