TEHRAN – Malaysia will be hosting the 26th South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) conference from November 27-29, 2006, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Friday.
Representatives from 21 nations’ Board of Governors (BoG), including those of Iran, will gather to discuss the impact of ‘recent’ economic shocks on banking and financial issues in relation to macroeconomics management within the member states.
Port of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be the next destination for Iranian delegation, governor of Central Bank of Iran and his foreign exchange deputy, to attend the 3rd Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) meeting established in 2001 with active participation of Iran.
Iran has been a member of SEACEN since 1956. The previous IFSB meeting was held in Tehran back in spring of 2006.
