Iran forex reserves surpass $68.2b

TEHRAN – Iran’s foreign currency reserves with a 23 percent growth from the corresponding period in the previous year reached 614.662 trillion rials (over $68.2 billion) on Aug. 22, 2007.

The Central Bank of Iran’s (CBI) statistics show that the reserves soared 16.8 percent compared to the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 21).
On Aug. 22, 2006, the figure rose 42.5 percent from 350,971 billion rials (over $38.9 billion) in its previous year
