Karachi U. establishing Iranian book pavilion
TEHRAN -- Karachi University has decided to establish an Iranian book pavilion in its central library.Iran’s cultural attaché in Pakistan, Mohammad Mehdi Tavassoli, and Karachi University Vice Chancellor Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui discussed academic relations between Iran and Pakistan and the establishment of the book pavilion during a meeting this week.
------Iranian film “Standing Alone” at Spockets festival
TEHRAN -- The Iranian film “Standing Alone” is on the bill of the Spockets International Film Festival for Children, which is currently underway in Toronto and runs until April 18.
Directed by Gholamreza Ramezani, the film is about Mohammad, a teenager who has written the best story in an inter-school competition and has been asked to attend a special ceremony where he will be awarded. However, as the story unfolds, a series of obstacles arise that he must overcome to attend the ceremony..
