Iranian maestro Heshmat Sanjari’s 100th birthday celebrated

TEHRAN – The 100th birthday of the deceased Iranian composer Heshmat Sanjari (1918-1995) was celebrated during a ceremony at Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center on Thursday.
Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Ali Moradkhani, House of Music Managing Director Mohammad Sarir and veteran musician Farhad Fakhreddini delivered speeches during the ceremony.
Iranian director Farzad Farahvashi’s documentary “Dance of Circle” about Sanjari’s life was also screened at the ceremony.
