TEHRAN – The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has rejected as “incorrect” recent reports by some British media over the role of Kazakhstan and the new U.S. administration in the suspension of a contract to export uranium ore to the Islamic Republic.

Speaking to Tasnim on Friday, Ali Akbar Salehi said the U.S. government has already announced that it has agreed to the contract, according to which Kazakhstan would export 950 tons of uranium to Iran.
