TEHRAN Although international conventions ban the use of chemical weapons and other weapons of mass destruction, unfortunately these weapons are produced or used by some countries in the world.
Most Third World countries cannot manufacture chemical weapons by themselves and rely on the West for the materials they need to manufacture these weapons.
Germany is known to have supplied chemical materials to Iraq, which were used by Iraq in manufacturing chemical weapons. During its imposed war on Iran, the Iraqi regime used these manufactured chemical weapons against the Iranian forces, killing or injuring them in large numbers.
Those victims of chemical weapons who are still alive are undergoing serious medical treatment, which is very costly, and it is very difficult for most of the victims to meet these high medical expenses, despite the government assistance.
Unfortunately, no complaint has so far been filed against the factories that supplied chemical materials to Iraq. It is the duty of the relevant officials to sue the Western suppliers of chemical materials to Iraq. These factories must compensate for the losses inflicted on Iranians and pay for the medical expenses of those victims who are currently under medical treatment.
