TEHRAN The Head of the Judiciary, Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, praised the performance of Information Ministry in a meeting with the officials of this ministry on Sunday. He said that the Islamic government is a popular system, fully supported by the people. "Therefore, the officials should also act in such a way as to further strengthen the people's trust in the system," Hashemi Shahroudi noted. The head of the Judiciary added that the Information Ministry should also watch the economic sector and prevent the activities of those profiteers who are undermining the country's economy by enjoying illegal privileges. "Stopping such illegal activities will pave the way for economic security and sound investment in the country," he stressed. At the meeting, the Information Minister Ali Younessi presented a report on the performance of his ministry and described as satisfactory the cooperation between the Judiciary and the Information Ministry.
