Foreign Tourists Interested in Neishabour Area Religious Sites
Mohammad Khoshlahan added that most of the tourists came from Persian Gulf states, Pakistan, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
Many go to see the footsteps of Imam Reza (AS) at the Imam Reza (AS) Qadamgah outside the city, and other religious sites such as the tomb of Bibi Shatiteh and the Mohammad Mahrouq Imamzadeh in Neishabour.
He noted that the religious sites of the region are the most frequented places.
Meanwhile, the director of the Neishabour Cultural Heritage Office said that the region has over 250 historical monuments.
Many tourists visit the tomb of Hakim Omar Khayyam and the Astronomy Museum of Neishabour.
Hakim Omar Khayyam, Attar of Neishabour, and Kamal al-Mulk are buried in Neishabour.
After the holy city of Mashhad, Neishabour has the most religious sites in Khorasan Province. It is located 120 kilometers east of Mashhad and has a population of over 500,000.
