Persepolis Hammers Barq, Abu Moslem Held at Home
Unpredictable due to its Jekyll and Hyde performances, Persepolis turned to a perfect goal-thirsty side against the visitor Barq of Shiraz, southern Fars Province.
The reds' strikers Sohrab Entezari and Ali Daei scored two goals each to send the Shirazi squad home with an unbelievable 4-0 rout.
National defender Yahya Golmohammadi sent a superb pass in the 15th minute for the unmarked Entezari, who scored the opener in a man-to-man challenge with Barq keeper Abbas Mohammadi.
Persepolis scored the second seven minutes after the restart when national skipper Daei unleashed a rebound in the penalty box past Barq goalie and defender in the goalmouth.
