Iran Stands 12th Among World Wheat Producers
China stood first in the rankings with a total 114 million tons while India and the United States took second and third, producing respectively 43 and 51 million tons less than China.
The report added that Iran comprised 1.6 percent of the entire world wheat, India yielding 12.1, and the United States about 10.7 percent of the industry.
The leading Chinese cumulatively rendered 19.5 percent of the totality.
The wheat raising industry covers 29 million hectares of land in China, 26.7 million hectares in India, and 21.5 million in the United States.
Iran has appropriated some 6.1 million hectares for the major agricultural product according to the report. It includes 2.8 of the whole world wheat lands, making the 11th position for Iran.
