Iran Crowned at Asian Juniors’ Greco-Roman, Freestyle Wrestling Events

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – Iran celebrated both titles of the Asian juniors’ Greco-Roman and freestyle bouts ended in Taiwan Sunday.

Iran's Wrestling Federation said the country lifted the Asian Greco-Roman wrestling title Saturday with five gold, three silver, and one bronze medals, followed by the runner-up Kazakhstan and the third-placed India.

According to the IWF, Iran added the freestyle championship to its asset as it garnered three golds, two silvers, and two bronzes. Iranian medal winners are as follows: GRECO-ROMAN: 42kg: Saeid Ramezanloo (gold) 46kg: Reza Sheikhi (gold) 50kg: Jassem Amiri (silver) 58kg: Hamid Reyhani (silver) 63kg: Moslem Ranjbar (bronze) 69kg: Davoud Abedinzadeh (gold) 76kg: Davoud Gil-Neyrang (silver) 85kg: Mohammad-Amin Rezaei (gold) 100kg: Seyed Hadi Moussavi (gold) FREESTYLE: 42kg: Soheil Mortazavi (gold) 46kg: Ali Beik-Mohammadnejad (gold) 50kg: Mehdi Taqavi (bronze) 69kg: Afshin Pourmajidi (gold) 63kg: Omid Varzdar (silver) 76kg: Ehsan Amini (bronze) 85kg: Behnam Taqipour (silver)
