TEHRAN -- The Khonya music group is to give concerts during Noruz (the Iranian New Year starting March 21) season in Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

The Iranian band plans to perform several traditional Iranian melodies composed by Hamid Behruznia, Moslem Alipur, and Nima Niktab during the performances entitled “Iranian Music and Spring Song -- Tour 2006”.

They are scheduled to give concerts in several cities including Passau, Frankfurt, Munich, Köln, Berlin, and Zurich.

Band leader Pari Maleki is the singer and the other members of the group are Behruznia, Alipur, Niktab, Bamdad Maleki, Ava Ayyubi, and Mahsa Golkamani.

Khonya previously performed at the 20th Dance and Music Festival of Murat, held in France in July 2005.
