TEHRAN (Fars News Agency) -- Member of the Parliament's majority faction stressed here on Tuesday that Iran will never accept to suspend its nuclear enrichment activities.

Speaking to FNA, Hajar Tahriri Nik-Sefat noted the recent statement by the country's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) and said that Iran is still decisive to continue talks about its nuclear issue.

"Since the very beginning of the case, we have always sought to move on the path of negotiations and talks and we have never been after triggering tension," she underscored.

The MP described restoration of the country's inalienable rights within the international rules and regulations as the main goal pursued by the Islamic Republic of Iran and, meantime, reminded that Tehran will never give up even an iota of its rights. She pointed out that the SNSC statement has stressed the need for continued talks to resolve the nuclear issue in a peaceful manner, adding, "Meantime, it has mentioned that if anyone decides to make a plaything of our national issues, rights and identity, we will certainly stand up to them."

The representative of Rasht at the Islamic Consultative Assembly referred to the parliament's approval in support for the country's nuclear activities and reiterated that continued nuclear activities constitute a part of the ruling system's general policies and a majority of the parliament members are demanding the continuation of the said activities within the framework of law.

Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani last Thursday warned the UN Security Council in a formal statement that in case the path of confrontation is picked up against Iran and if a move is made for limiting the Iranian nation's inalienable rights, then the Islamic Republic would be left with no other option but to revise its nuclear policies.

The statement further stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not favor tension, but if other actors embark on triggering tensions and problems, then all the relevant parties will have to bear the consequences and sustain the damages inflicted.
