TEHRAN -- Deputy Secretary General of the Islamic Iran Participation Party Hossein Kashefi said here on Saturday that the IIPP’s main policy is forming a coalition with all reformist groups.

“We will submit an individual list of candidates only in cities where the reformists do not have any candidate,” Kashefi told the Mehr News Agency.

The IIPP seeks to serve national interests in future elections, he noted.

“The election headquarters of the reformist front is trying to hold talks with all of the country’s influential figures such as (Expediency Council Chairman) Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani,” he stated.

Kashefi added that the IIPP will work in coalition with all reformist groups in both the Assembly of Experts and local council elections, which are slated to be held simultaneously on December 15.
