TEHRAN - “Today the major powers have admitted that no plan can succeed in the strategically important Middle East without Iran’s help,” Interior Minister Mostafa Purmohammadi said here on Tuesday.

At a ceremony commemorating the 18th anniversary of the departure of Imam Khomeini, he honored the memory of the late Imam and the 15th of Khordad martyrs and stated that the enemies would never dare to invade Iran.

Pointing to the fact that the occupiers have been unable to fulfill their promise to establish democracy and security in Iraq and their request for Iran’s help, he said the world witnessed that Iran sat at the negotiating table with honor and strength.

“Our enemies should accept the nuclear progress Iran has made through (the efforts) of its young scientists,” he observed.

Noting the comparatively low price of gasoline and the decrease in fees for bank loans, he said that the administration takes most burdens upon itself in order to reduce the pressure on the people.
