New ambassador to Mexico appointed

TEHRAN -- Mohammad-Hassan Qadiri-Abyaneh was officially appointed as Iran’s new ambassador to Mexico on Monday.
Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki nominated Qadiri-Abyaneh for the post and President Mahmud Ahmadinejad approved the appointment.
Qadiri-Abyaneh previously served as Iran’s ambassador to Australia, the director general of the Information and Media Department of the Foreign Ministry, the press counselor of the Iranian Embassy in Rome, adviser to the foreign minister, and adviser to the Expediency Council chairman.
