TEHRAN -- The Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) plans to set up several camps for more than 600 young adults in commemoration of the 800th birth anniversary of Rumi from July 21 until August 18.

Five separate groups of young people from different provinces, including active members of IIDCYA’s libraries, winners of book-reading competitions and junior writers will be sent to Delgosha Camp in Chalus (a city in north Iran). The various programs which will be organized include introducing Rumi in story-telling sessions, literary workshops on poetry, reciting stories from the Masnavi, reviewing books on the theme of Masnavi’s stories and making postcards on the topic of the 800th birth anniversary of Rumi. IIDCYA will either publish the participants’ artistic and literary works in the form of books or display them in an exhibition in the near future
