TEHRAN -- The novel “Kafka on the Shore” by the Japanese author Haruki Murakami has been translated into Persian by Gita Garkani and is to be published by Caravan Publications in the near future.

This novel, which came out in 2002, is based on two distinct but interrelated plots. The narrative runs back and forth between the two plotlines, taking up each of them in alternating chapters.
Garkani has also recently finished the translation of a collection of pieces selected from a series of books by Anthony Horowitz featuring teen super spy Alex Rider. This work will be released by Caravan Publications in September.
In addition to her activities as a translator, Garkani is currently writing a novel entitled “Wrong Windows” which depicts inter-personal relationships within society.
