BAKU (IRNA) -- Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel who arrived in Baku on Friday at the head of a parliamentary delegation was set to hold talks with the Azeri officials.

Upon arrival in Baku Airport, Haddad-Adel was welcomed by Azeri Deputy Parliament Speaker Ziafat Asqerov and Deputy Foreign Minister Khalif Khalafov as well as Iran's ambassador to Baku Naser Hamidi Zare.
Haddad-Adel was scheduled to meet with Azeri president, prime minister, parliament speaker and foreign minister.
Talking to reporters at Mehrabad Airport before flying to Baku, he said close collaboration would be possible once the two nations expand their parliamentary relations, adding ""We are making this trip to promote cultural and parliamentary ties.""
