120 projects approved for Hamedan

HAMEDAN - President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday that his cabinet approved over 120 projects for the development of Hamedan Province.
Hamedan’s economy is mostly dependent on agriculture, hence 11,500 billion rials of credit has been allocated for improving agriculture and related industries, Ahmadinejad said after a four-hour cabinet meeting in Hamedan, where he was on a provincial tour.To promote these industries, the cabinet authorized the establishment of eight new industrial centers, he stated.
The cabinet’s plans also include the establishment of more universities, and modernization of hospitals.
Additional funding was also allocated for the province’s transportation system.
It was also decided that gas would be piped to 235 villages, and eight billion rials was allotted to development of deprived regions in the province
