SAO PAULO (Reuters) - State-run oil company Petrobras reported on Friday that October crude output in Brazil was 1.87 million barrels a day on average, an 8.3 percent increase over the same month last year.
The company’s average oil output was over 1 percent higher in September in Brazil at 1.89 million barrels a day.The fall in output in October was due to problems on the P-52 platform, a floating, production, storage and offloading vessel in the Roncador field and the P-48 platform that have since been resolved.
The company’s October output of natural gas grew to 53.72 million cubic meters a day, up 26 percent on year.
Including Petrobras’s production abroad, the company put out 2.44 million barrels of oil equivalent a day in October, a 9.4 percent increase from a year ago but little changed from September’s performance.
