TEHRAN - Iran national team and Saba Mehr basketball team played in a symbolic match organized by Iran Basketball Federation (IBF) to commemorate Aidin Nikkhah Bahrami’s first death anniversary.

All the players wore shirts bearing Aidin’s picture in this match which was held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Aidin Nikkhah Bahrami helped the national team to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. His brother Samad Nikkhah Bahrami is a member of France’s Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez.
Aidin died in a car accident on December 27, 2007 on the Tehran–Chalus road along with his fiancée.
He was laid to rest at Tehran’s Behesht-e Zahra cemetery in the celebrity section
