THERAN – Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani welcomed on Friday a statement by new U.S. President Barack Obama who had said the world has changed.

However, he said Iran “should wait” to see how Obama will fulfill his campaigns promises.
“Of course, we should wait. The policy should be the policy of wait and not the policy of intervention or the policy of aggression because such policies contradict principles of the Islamic government,” Kashani told worshippers.
Obama has said he is ready to deal directly with Iran, something his predecessor largely rejected
