The International Criminal Court is being asked to prosecute Israeli leaders for allegedly killing civilians with phosphorus bombs during the fighting in Gaza.

The request was made in a message sent by the acting speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council to Luis Moreno Lukombo, chief prosecutor of the ICC, the Syrian news agency Sana reported Friday. The ICC is based in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Ahmad Bahr asked Lukombo to start legal action for the brutal aggression against civilians in Gaza that led to the martyrdom of 1,340 Palestinians and the extermination of entire families through the use of internationally-prohibited phosphoric bombs
