TEHRAN – Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani called Israel’s inhumanity in the Gaza Strip a sign of its “aggressive nature”, saying that the whole world is fully aware of the “true nature” of the Zionist regime.

In a meeting with Hamas political chief Khaled Meshaal in Tehran on Monday, Rafsanjani described Gazans’ resistance against the Israelis as “very effective” in their ultimate victory.
He added that Palestinians have never surrendered to Israelis and that it is a “great achievement” for them.
Rafsanjani said Iran and the Islamic world will always remain on Palestinians’ side, adding now all Muslims must defend the Gaza nation as the real battle is between “faith and paganism”.
Gazans have now more supporters, more strength and more global credit, he noted.
Meshaal, for his part, briefed Rafsanjani on the Gaza war and the aftermath and thanked Iranian nation for their humanitarian support.
He said those countries that claim to be human rights defenders approved the Israeli actions in Gaza, adding that Gazans achieved victory by their faith in God and Islam.
