TERHAN – Ali Saeedlou, Mojtaba Hashemi Samareh, and Mohammad-Reza Rahimi are among possible nominees for the post of first vice president, Iraj Nadimi, the advisor to vice president for parliamentary affairs said on Tuesday.

Saeedlou and Rahimi have been serving as vice president for executive and parliamentary affairs respectively; Samareh Hashemi was also a senior advisor to President Ahmadinejad until he was named president’s special assistant in a cabinet meeting in Mashhad on July 16, the same day that Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaii appointed first VP but was forced to resign as strong opposition grew against this decision by the president.
Nadimi also told reporters the name list for the new cabinet that has been released by certain news agencies is 70 to 80 percent close to reality.
Nadimi, a former lawmaker, also said the Majlis supports MP Rouhollah Hosseinian for the post of intelligence minister
