Screaming vs. whispering

TEHRAN -- A professor asked his students:
Why do we scream at each other when we are angry? Why do people speak in a very loud high voice when they are upset? The students reflected and then one said:
When we get angry, we lose our cool and control.
The professor said:
Ok; we may lose our control when enraged, but how come this results in screaming at someone? When we are standing right beside each other, why this necessity to yell?
The professor didn't get a straight answer from his students. Then, he explained:
When people are burning with rage – when one person is angry with another the distance between their hearts widens, and creates a chasm, so they shout in order to bridge this rift.
Then the professor asked:
What happens when two people like each other?
They don't scream at each other; they speak softly and quietly.
Do you know why? Their hearts are close, so that they can hear each other well and there is no need for them to shout.
The more you like a person, the more quietly you speak to them.
You only need to whisper, and sometimes, you can just look at their face and read their thoughts. This takes place only when there is no distance between hearts.
