Abdollah Nouri Reportedly Resigns

TEHRAN The Vice President for Development Affairs Abdollah Nouri has resigned, the Persian daily Jahan-e Eslam wrote in its Thursday issue. According to the daily, the reason behind Nouri's resignation is his decision to register for the forthcoming elections of the Islamic councils. However, the vice president had previously said that he was not consulted for his new appointment and thus was not satisfied with his new post.

He has not even attended his office.
