RESALAT in its editorial said that the decade of progress and justice was initiated by the current administration. The country’s appearance has changed dramatically and development of infrastructure projects has speeded up. However, the writer added that the enemy misused the presidential election and sowed discord in the society and cajoled certain persons in London and Washington to hatch plots to impede the country’s progress.
KEYHAN in its editorial said a review of the past twenty years shows that the Supreme Leader has been able to properly identify problems and barriers in the society and remove them. The Islamic Revolution has survived 30 years of conspiracies and it will continue to move forward. Now that the Supreme Leader has named the current year, which began on March 21, a year of “double work and double attempt” efforts should be made to reform the norms of consumption, improve public health, promote domestic production, intensify scientific and research studies in different fields, develop job-friendly investment projects, increase public awareness, and fight poverty, corruption and injustice.
ARMAN in its editorial pointed out that a feeling of disappointment looms over the White House after a year of efforts to reach a consensus to introduce new sanctions against Iran at the UN Security Council. Obviously, reaching that consensus is not far-fetched; it is not clear yet whether what would come out of this consensus or prospective resolution. However, this situation will exacerbate the tense political climate.
JAHAN-E-SANAT in its editorial stated that the new Iranian year seems to be a year of challenges over the subsidies, ranging from Ahmadinejad’s call for a referendum on increasing subsidy cut savings, vice president’s letter, and MP Mesbahi-Moqadam’s reply, deputy speaker Mohmmad-Reza Bahonar’s remarks and reactions which are still coming out. Such an image of the national economy indicates the subsidy reform plan, which the administration claims was studied by experts, still needs to be studied. More importantly, when there is no inclination to implement the plan why people’s time should be wasted?
