TEHRAN – Director of the Organization of the Islamic Conference has apologized Iran for an anti-Iranian statement posted on the OIC’s website.

Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu made the remarks during a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Monday.
He rejected the attribution of such remarks to himself, saying the remarks were published on OIC's website when he was away in the Saudi city of Jeddah.
The OIC chief said he was not aware of the move and had immediately ordered the removal of the material from the website.
