TEHRAN – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has lauded the performance of the law enforcement and security forces, saying the country enjoys reasonable security and stability despite the volatile situation in the region.

Larijani made the remarks on Saturday in a meeting with the commanders of the law enforcement forces.
He said the Iranian forces should fully safeguard the country’s land and sea borders against intruders and smugglers, adding that Iran’s neighbors should also join hands in preventing border incidents and decreasing the level of smuggling.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Larijani urged relevant officials to do everything in their power to prevent crimes and pave the way for the reduction of criminal activities.

The senior MP said the Iranian police have succeeded to win people’s trust and this entails further attention in accomplishing tasks in the best possible manner.
