Iranian troupe to perform “Hearing” at Swiss and Dutch festivals

TEHRAN – The Mehr Theater Group, an Iranian troupe led by director/writer Amir-Reza Kuhestani, will be performing the play “Hearing” at Swiss and Dutch festivals.
The play blending realism and poetry stars Elham Korda, Mahin Sadri, Mona Ahmadi and Ainaz Azarhush, and centers on events happening in a girls’ dormitory for two girls named Setareh and Sahar, the Persian service of MNA announced on Tuesday.“Hearing” will go on stage today in Zurich. The play will be on stage until August 21 and will later go to the Netherlands to attend the Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival taking place in Groningen. The troupe will have two performances on August 25 and 26.
The troupe will next return to Geneva to perform in the La Batie Festival, a festival of theater performances and film screenings running from August 28 to September 12. “Hearing” is scheduled to go on stage on August 29 and 31.
“Hearing” was staged in Tehran’s City Theater Complex last month.
Costume designer Negar Nemati, light designer Saba Kasmaii, and assistant director Mohammadreza Hosseinzadeh are collaborating in this project.
