TEHRAN - Iran has condemned Saudi-led coalition attacks on the residence of Omani Ambassador to Sana’a, saying that the move runs counter to international rules on immunity of diplomatic sites.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham called on the international communities, especially the UN, to take action urgently and fulfill their responsibility to end the war and stop coalition forces’ aggression against forbidden targets including civilian targets and diplomatic sites, ISNA reported Sunday.

“Oman’s constructive role in (settling) the Yemeni crisis has been frequently lauded by different organizations and the international community,” she said.

“The coalition forces’ unjustifiable and vicious move showed that they cannot stand humanitarian actions of Oman, which makes effort to reduce human catastrophe in Yemen under the structure of the ICRC and the UN,” she stated.
