Iranian taekwondo athletes claim four medals at Turkey’s Grand Prix

Four Iranian representatives claimed one gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the 2015 WTF World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series 2 in Samsun, Turkey, on Saturday.
On day two of the event, Mahdi Khodabakhshi claimed a gold medal after defeating Ivory Coast’s Cheick Sallah Cisse.Khodabakhshi's compatriot Masoud Hajizavareh was one of the two bronze medallists along with Italy’s Roberto Botta in the men’s under 80kg weight class.
Sajjad Mardani from Iran on Saturday had won a silver medal in the men’s +80kg category.
Abolfazl Yaghoubi won Iran’s fourth medal in the competition.
The Iranian taekwondo athlete claimed a bronze medal along with South Korea’s Lee Dae-hoon in the 68kg.
A total of 232 athletes from 50 countries competed in the WTF Grand Prix Series 2.
