Iranian boxers head to Baku for World Championship

TEHRAN – Iranian boxing team left Tehran on Friday to take part in the 2011 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan.Iran will take part in the competition with eight boxers. They are Iman Tayyebi (52kg), Armin Amjadian (56kg), Mohammad Mumivand (60kg), Mehdi Toluti (64kg), Amin Ghasemipour (69kg), Mohammad Sattarpour (75kg), Ehsan Ruzbahani (81kg), Reza Moradkhani (91kg) and Jasem Delavari (+91kg).
AIBA World Boxing Championships will be held at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Exhibition Complex in Baku, Azerbaijan from September 22 to October 10.
This world championship, which will serve as a qualifier for the 2012 Summer Olympics, will bring 685 boxers from 127 countries together.
