TEHRAN – The heads of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government held a meeting at the judiciary chief’s office on Monday. 

During the meeting, President Ahmadinejad, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, and Judiciary Chief Sadeq Amoli Larijani discussed a range of regional and international issues, particularly the developments occurring in the region. 

The heads of three branches of government have decided to promote cooperation on the campaign against illicit drugs, particularly psychoactive drugs, Amoli Larijani told reporters after the meeting.     

“I raised the issue of war on illicit drugs in the meeting,” and asked Mr. President to take the measures necessary to tackle the issue, he added.
