Iran booked a berth in the15th Asian Men's Handball Championship on Tuesday.

 

In the competitions, which in underway in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, The Persians beat Japan 27-25 in a thrilling match in Group A in Hall of Youth Care. 

 

Group A: Korea, Japan, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait

Group B: Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan

 

Iran has already lost to Kuwait (26-27) and South Korea (21-26) in the group matches and defeated Jordan (25-17). 

 

The three top ranked teams of the Asian Men's Championship will qualify for the 2013 IHF World Handball Championship in Spain.
