TEHRAN — Iran is fully provided with air rescue service coverage, chief of the Rescue and Relief Organization, Nasser Charkhsaz, has said, IRNA reported on Wednesday.
Mentioning the number of the helicopters for air rescue services Charkhsaz noted that since last year the number of the helicopters have increased by three becoming 20 over the last four months.
“We were planning allocating one helicopter to each province by the end of the [current Iranian calendar] year (March 20, 2017) but we might not be able to do that as a result of insufficient funds,” he lamented.
