TEHRAN – The Iranian Artists Forum will be playing host to “Bazaar of Art”, offering a variety of artworks at low prices, in an exhibit which will open to the public on August 26.

Sponsored by the Institute for Promotion of Contemporary Visual Art, a great number of veteran and novice artists are attending the exhibit, secretary of the event Jamshid Haqiqatshenas said in a press release published on Saturday.

“A wide range of artworks including paintings, drawings, sculptures, calligraphy and calligraphic paintings will be offered for sale at the exhibit all at reasonable prices,” he added.

“The exhibit aims to create a positive atmosphere encouraging visitors to purchase artworks. People are those who can support the art and culture of our country. They can buy, preserve and love the artworks,” he added.

“The artists have many works at different prices and not all of them are expensive. There are many artists attending this exhibit, some of whom are very famous and popular among people,” he remarked.

He also added that the forum is a very good location for the exhibit and all the galleries have been allocated to the works.

“We have prepared a list of artists and have received a positive response in return,” he noted.

“Artworks on the walls of houses are considered a big asset. If people add artworks to their buying list, we will have good museums in the future,” he concluded.

The bazaar will be running for five days at the forum located on Musavi St., Taleqani Ave.
