Over 200 city management projects submitted to World Golden Adobe award

TEHRAN — Over 200 city management projects both from Iran and other countries worldwide have been so far submitted to the Third World Golden Adobe award, the director for international affairs of Tehran Municipality has said.
As coordinated by the United Nations Human Settlements Program, the Third World Golden Adobe award ceremony for the best urban management projects worldwide will be held in Tehran on October 31 concurrent with the World Cities Day, Mehr news agency quoted Shahram Gilabadi as saying.
Some national and urban officials, students, faculties, researchers as well as international bodies’ chairpersons will attend the event, Gilabadi noted.
The first Golden Adobe award ceremony was held in 2014. The event is being backed by the World Association of the Major Metropolises, the United Nations Human Settlements Program, and Tehran Municipality.
The award aims at improving urban life and encouraging international interactions in developing urban infrastructure which ultimately leads to transferring knowledge and information in implementing urban projects.
