Iranian director Mohammad Zarrindast dies at 82

TEHRAN – Veteran Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Zarrindast died of gallbladder cancer at his home in Tehran on Monday. He was 82.

A film graduate of UCLA, he was known as Tony Zarrindast in the U.S.

Among his credits are “Golden Cage”, “Vertigo” and “Werewolf”.

He was the brother of Alireza Zarrindast, the famous Iranian cinematographer.
