TEHRAN – The reformists are intent upon allocating 50 percent of the council seats to women and the youth, the head of the reformists’ policy making council said on Tuesday.

Speaking to ISNA, Mohammad Reza Aref said reformists expect women and the younger ones to support the decision and render a big turnout in the council elections.

The council elections are set to be held on May 19, the same day as the presidential elections.
