Iran selects writer, illustrator of “You’re a Tourist” to visit Bologna book fair

TEHRAN – The Iran Cultural Fairs Institute has selected the writer and illustrator of “You’re a Tourist” to visit the Bologna Children’s Book Fair this year.
The opportunity has been provided for writer Shahrzad Shahrjerdi and illustrator Ghazal Fathollahi for their efforts on “You’re a Tourist” during a workshop held for creating illustrative works in Tehran last week, the institute announce during a ceremony on Saturday.
The institute will pay all costs for the visit to the Bologna book fair, which will be held in the Italian city from April 3 to 6.
In addition, writer Mahsa Hedayati and illustrator Ali-Asghar Matak won an honorable mention for their joint efforts on “The Little Secret”.
The Iran Cultural Fairs Institute also consented to cover half of the cost for a visit to the Bologna book fair for the writer and illustrator.
Iranian Illustrators Society director Kianush Gharibpur expressed his thanks to the institute for sponsoring the visits of Iranian artists to international book fairs.
